Controversial private detective Jane Mugo has revealed that she is now single, four months after announcing her engagement to an army man.

Mugo made the revelation in a message on social networking site Facebook, where she cited the man’s alleged dishonesty as the cause of calling it quits on the relationship.

According to the private eye, after announcing her engagement in July this year, four different women reached out to her claiming that the man had promised to marry them as well.

Despite the fact that they had not met the man as he had allegedly made promises to them virtually, the women expressed their hurt to Mugo.

“When I posted about my engagement in July, I received congratulations messages from my followers, media streams, enemies, family & friends…The same day I received disturbing SMS photos from four women (from) USA, Pokot, Kitale and Kisumu. They were all bitter but honest to me because this guy had played them online and promised marriages because he was outside Kenya and he had not met them,” she wrote.

“This month he jetted back into the country. His schoolmates, neighbors, and mother ( my mother-in-law) confirmed to me he has not changed. To me, it is not about my happiness, but you cannot hurt your mother, ex-women, blood children, or lie about a career. You treat me like a queen, a woman is crying, and except to survive I respect hearts. I have dignity.”

Mugo clarified that she is now single but “not searching” as she is “busy and happy,” further stating that she will be returning the ring and all gifts the man ever gave her back to him.

She went on to thank all those who attempted to intervene, noting that the relationship is not worth fighting for despite the man claiming to still love her.
