Rick Ross: I will climb Mount Kilimanjaro in 2024
American hip hop star William Leonard Roberts
II, popularly known as Rick Ross, is gearing up to climb Africa's tallest
mountain, Mt. Kilimajaro, in 2024.
The rapper, during an interview with
the Full Send Podcast, revealed that the trip to Tanzania is part of his
bucket list.
“For the rest of this year I’m getting ready,
prepared mentally. Next year I get prepared physically. I really believe when I
put my heart to something, I can do anything,” he said.
“It’s not really that big, I just [have to] get
it done. And what you [have to] realize, if you notice I said 2024.”
The 46-year-old seemingly joked that he would
need someone to accompany him on the trip to “carry his wings” in case he does
not make it.
The ‘Outlawz’ hitmaker, who in 2014 tipped
the weighing scale with over 150 kilograms before dropping to about 90, made
yet another revelation in regard to his physicality.
He said he once worked as a law enforcement
officer in a correctional facility in the '90s but did not make it to the
prisons, asserting that the training was tough.
“I didn’t really get to make it to the
prison, because you [have to] go through training and all that and I didn’t
last long,” Ross stated.
He said the task at hand translated to him
hating the job, leading to him falling out after only four months of the
training.
"I lasted four
months before they said I was a little tardy,” Ross joked.
