Royal Media Services mourns Inspekta Mwala’s Bokello

The Royal Media Services family is deeply saddened by the passing on of Mr Bon Aggrey Okello, popularly known as Bokello.

Bokello, an actor with the popular Inspekta Mwala TV comedy series and a radio presenter at Ramogi FM radio station, passed away on Sunday at the Mater Hospital while undergoing treatment.

Bokello played a police officer at Kona Mbaya Police Station on Inspekta Mwala. On Radio Ramogi he was famously known as Wuon Ombugu, to mean Ombugu’s father.

He joined the Royal Media Family in September 2006 and continued on as an artistic asset until the time of his passing.

Following his demise, Kenyan celebrities and entertainers took to social media to mourn one of their own.

Many of them praised Bokello’s sense of humour, which served to make Inspekta Mwala one of the most entertaining shows on television.

Daniel Ndambuki, aka Churchill, of Churchill Show tweeted: “Waking up to sad news, RIP Bokello.”

Other Kenyans on Twitter also eulogised the departed entertainer as a “funny man” who made them laugh at anything.

Royal Media Services Managing Director Wachira Waruru also sent his condolences to the family.

We at Royal Media Services condole with the family of Mr Okello and may his soul rest in eternal peace.
