Former Nairobi Diaries actress Diana Clara Ojenge alias Mishi Dora, claims that when she was in jail for 38 days, her children were taken to an orphanage.
During an interview with Dr. Ofweneke, Mishi Dora said that after being released from jail, she also found that she had been evicted from her residence.
“I’m not okay coz when I got out, like right now I don’t have my kids coz my kids were taken to the orphanage. Not living with your kids and you’re in prison, they’re taken to the orphanage, when you default rent payment in my residence, they evict you. I’m not even in my house.”
Mishi Dora said she does not care about what people thought of her after the fiasco, adding that she was not a lady who would give up easy under any circumstances.
“I’m just trying to bounce back coz I know myself, I’m not a woman that gives up easily, so it doesn’t matter what people say I know what I’m going through. But what I I know is that I’m gonna bounce back and I will be okay. The bill has not been paid but my first priority right now is getting my kids back and my house back,” Mishi Dora said.
This was after failing to clear a Ksh.152,550 bill accrued at a local entertainment joint on the night of May 26, 2022.
Speaking with Ofweneke on the ordeal, Mishi Dora said there was an after party to celebrate a Nigerian
film in which she starred. She claims to have been with her producer
as well as a few other acquaintances.
However, Mishi Dora affirmed that she made a mistake when she did not follow up on whether they were supposed to foot the bill for the second round of drinks.
“This guy came in and was like, another round? And I was like yea..I think that’s where I went wrong by not confirming, are we paying for this one or this is another free drink.”
“I called the producer because he was still around, and he started saying their card was not working in Kenya. Remember,my money was used to fund the event, the producer said she would refund me my money,” she added.
