Tanzanians troll Rosemary Odinga on Instagram

Rosemary Odinga, Cord leader Raila Odinga’s daughter, was on Tuesday trolled on social media for an incident that took place last year in New York.

The online attacks, mostly by Tanzanian nationals, came after she posted a photo on Instagram apologising for saying that Olduvai Gorge, a place known as the cradle of mankind, is in Kenya during a speech in New York last year where she had attended an IYLA event.

“I have just been reminded of an incident which occurred while attending IYLA in New York last year where I had a Freudian slip. Apparently our brothers and sisters from TZ are alarmed that I have grabbed their Olduvai Gorge. I meant to say our equally historic Olorgesaiile site in Kajiado,” she posted.

She further apologised to Tanzanians saying “their Olduvai Gorge is safe”.

“Let us all in the spirit of East Africa shake hands because after all we are the cradle of humanity,” continued her post.
