‘We are just suspects,’ Eli and Litiema address claims of stealing money from Jalang’o

According to Eli, they did not steal the money as claimed by Jalang’o and are looking forward to having a talk with the comedian to establish the truth.

“It is not yet known where the money is or with whom, we are just suspects.”

“It is a small issue, we are waiting to meet boss (Jalang’o) to talk. We have talked on phone and he says he is OK, we are waiting for the final word,” Eli told Milele FM.

His co-accused, Morrison also insisted that he does not have the money, and wants audience with Jalang’o.

“We can’t talk about that now, we want to talk to him first.”

Eli added that they fled Nairobi out of fear that they could be subjected to mob justice once the reports went public.

“We are famous people, you can just sit there and be subjected to mob justice. We can not do such a thing,” he said.

Earlier, Jalang’o had accused the duo of stealing a huge sum of money from his car and fleeing the city.

The Langata MP aspirant cried foul over the act, saying the two had betrayed him yet he treated them as family and even helped to build their online brands.
