Maribe, who just recently was acquitted in the case of the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani, on Monday shared a group selfie of herself and Itumbi alongside some ten other people, revealing that she has been friends with the digital strategist for two decades.
Maribe went on to say that she hoped the friends in the group selfie would help the long-time bachelor find a wife - just so everyone would quit assuming she was the one.
"Happy birthday @dennisitumbi. The 2 solid decades of friendship have been a testament of highs and lows, and love all the same," she wrote.
"This new year around the sun, this group in this picture will help you find a wife, so everyone stop assuming it's me. Happy birthday D.I..."
Itumbi also reposted the Story by Maribe on his Instagram page.
This was after he shared a video of him being celebrated by a group of students. Itumbi was wearing a party hat and a cake was placed before him.
Maribe and Itumbi's relationship has been the subject of numerous online theories for years, with many concluding that Maribe was Itumbi's girlfriend.
In public, they've always displayed their undying love for each other, with Itumbi standing steadfastly by Maribe as she battled the very public murder case she was charged with, alongside her then beau Joseph 'Jowie' Irungu.
On February 9, Itumbi expressed his profound happiness on the acquittal of Maribe in the 2018 murder case.
Itumbi, who was part of the family and friends who waited in the courtroom as the final verdict was delivered said the truth has finally "unveiled its brilliance dispelling the darkness."
In an emotional post moments after Justice Grace Nzioka finished reading the judgment, Itumbi said Maribe was a pawn in the case.
“It has been six years, a journey of shadows, where unjust chains sought to bind the spirit of a great friend, a charming personality, a friend I treasure much,” he said then.
