Rosemary Odinga shared a picture on social media wishing her father, Cord Leader Raila Odinga a Happy birthday.

The 3^rd born of four children wrote “Happy Birthday Dear Dad @RailaOdinga. Thanks for being the best history teacher I have ever had, Your the coolest!”

Fans and supporters also turned up in large numbers on social media to wish the 71-year-old a happy birthday

The master of many arts, Jalang’o also went on social media to wish the party leader a happy birthday.

Raila shares his birthday with Jeff Koinange and Jalang’o also shared a picture with ‘The Bench’ presenter Jeff Koinange saying: “Happy Birthday to my friend…my brother…Mentor and Role model..Help me wish @koinangejeff a Happy birthday”

Raila Amolo Odinga is also popularly known to his supporters as Agwambo (meaning the “Mysterious One”), Tinga, Baba, RAO, and Jakom (“Chairman”). 

He was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Langata in 1992, served as Minister of Energy from 2001 to 2002 and as Minister of Roads, Public Works, and Housing from 2003 to 2005.
