‘You are the best thing that happened to me,’ Raila pens sweet birthday message to wife Ida

Raila Odinga has poured out his heart in a birthday message to the love of his life, Ida Betty Odinga.

The Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition presidential candidate says that every time he marks Mama Ida’s birthday, he is reminded of how she has been a strong pillar in his life.

“On each of your birthdays like today, I reflect on how you are by far the best thing that ever happened to me. Your strength, resilience, wisdom, and prayers have brought our family this far. Happy Birthday my dear Ida Betty,” Odinga wrote on his social media.

Ida’s third born son Raila Odinga Junior also celebrated his mother, whom she described as “loving and tender.”

“I am so blessed to have a woman like you in my life. You have shown me great love and tenderness throughout the years and I greatly appreciate you for that. Happy Birthday to you today, mom,” Raila Junior penned.

The ODM party fraternity also wished Mama Ida a hearty happy birthday. 

“Mama, as you begin this new year that God has added you, please know that Kenyans love. Long live Mama Ida Betty Odinga,” the party wrote in a tweet.
