This document serves as proof that you have been vaccinated against the COVID-19.
To obtain this crucial document is absolutely free and you will only need to go to the Ministry of Health portal (portal.health.go.ke).
You will then be required to create an account on the platform for you to be able to download your vaccination certificate.
After creating an account and logging in onto the platform, on the left side of your screen, you will find an option to view your vaccination schedule or vaccination certificate if you have been fully vaccinated.
On mobile devices, click on the three horizontal lines at the top right of your screen to reveal additional menus.
On a tablet or laptop, you will see some menus on the left bar of the screen.
From here you’ll be able to see your vaccination certificate with the corresponding doses already received.
Click on 'vaccination certificate' and you will have the option to download the document onto your device.
The certificate shows the type of vaccine you received as well as the date you received the doses.
The Ministry of Health notes that your vaccination certificate will be available once you have received at least 1 dose of the vaccine.
"Note that it may take up to a day after vaccination for your certificate to be available for download depending on the facility where you were vaccinated," says the Ministry.
If you still cannot see your certificate after this period, visit the facility to confirm that; your identification details were input correctly by the vaccinating facility and your vaccination information was uploaded into national repository by the vaccinating facility.
