2 cheat death as Toyota Landcruiser V8 catches fire at Shelly Beach
Police officers in Mombasa have launched probe after a luxury SUV- a Toyota Landcruiser V8- caught fire at the Shelly beach in Likoni on Tuesday evening.
Likoni Police Commander Jane Munywoki confirmed the incident saying cops have begun probe to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Footage seen by Citizen Digital shows the black vehicle stuck on the sandy beach with smoke billowing from its front.
So this not so bright spark decided to drive V8 along Shelly beach near Likoni thinking it wouldnt sink in the sand. The vehicles two occupants; a man and a woman escaped with minor injuries as a fierce fire gutted the motor vehicle down.
The shell of the vehicle was towed to the Likoni Police station after the incident.
