Two suspected robbers arrested in Kayole, over 50 mobile phones recovered

Police in Kayole are holding in custody two robbery with violence suspects arrested on Thursday evening in Embakasi East Constituency, Nairobi.

The two, Michael Otieno, 28, and Festus Owiti, 30 were nabbed by sleuths based at DCI Kayole.

A  statement by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) on Friday revealed that the pair was apprehended after an incident where a woman was robbed was reported.

The woman is said to have lost a mobile phone and other valuables.

 An operation launched by the detectives thereafter led to the recovery of over 50 mobile phones alleged to be stolen items in Obama Estate. 

The DCI has since established that one of the suspects operates a mobile repair shop in the Estate which is within Kayole.
