2022 showdown: DP Ruto heads to Machakos as Raila sets out for Migori

Deputy President William Ruto will on Thursday take his bottom-up economic agenda campaigns to Machakos County.

The deputy president will embark on his charm offensive tour by holding a rally at Donyo Sabuk at around 10am, after which he will proceed to Tala market in Matungulu sub-county at 11am.

Thereafter, DP Ruto will head to Kangundo where he will engage the constituents through noon before holding stopovers at Kivaani and Kakuyuni at 1pm and 2pm respectively.

From there, the DP will visit Kathiani at 3pm, Mitaboni at 4pm before wrapping up his itinerary in Joska along Kangundo road at 5pm.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga, who is seeking the country’s top seat under ‘Azimio La Umoja’ platform, will on the other hand take his vote-hunting mission to Migori County.

The former premier is expected to pitch camp in Kuria district before staging a major rally at Kehancha Stadium to for the rest of the day.
