3 Dead In Safari Express Plane Crash

The plane crashed at the national park.

Transport cabinet secretary Eng Michael Kamau confirmed the tragic news just a few hours after Tanzania and Kenya launched a joint rescue and search operation for the plane.

Earlier on, the safari express plane with three passengers on board headed for Magadi from Mwanza, Tanzania had been reported missing.

According to Kenya Airports Police, the air control officials in Dar-es-salaam said they lost touch of it soon after it took off on Sunday night from Mwanza airport at 7:26 PM.

The Fokker 27 plane was to stop at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi at 8:30 PM on Sunday night.
