3 matatus collide; 4 people injured, 18 cows killed in Machakos

A road accident involving three matatus at Mithini bridge on the Machakos-Kitui highway in Machakos County has left four people with serious injuries.
The 14-seater matatus collided while racing against each other on Thursday morning, causing the accident.
According to a police report, the matatus then rammed into a nearby herd of cattle, killing 18 cows on the spot.
The four passengers who were injured were rushed to Masii Hospital in Mwala and the Machakos Level 5 Hospital.
