Three people killed, 3 others injured by suspected bandits in Baringo
According to area Nyumba Kumi elder James
Seurei, the attacks occurred at midday during which fierce gunfire saw the
three shot dead on the spot as three other locals also sustained serious
gunshot wounds.
Kabarnet Commissioner Abdirisack Jaldesa
confirmed the incident saying investigations are underway, noting that the injured
were taken to hospital in Laikipia County.
Baringo County Police Commander Adamson
Bungei said one of them was injured on the leg, the other on the wrist, and the
third on the hand.
Bungei said the operation is ongoing along Konkor
hills and valleys as well as Ng'elecha hills where the bandits are
believed to be hiding.
“Konkor is an area which needs plenty of
strategy in approach so that we don’t get more casualties. We are in control
and will get to the root of all this,” he stated.
