3 killed in grisly accident near school gate on Keroka-Kisii road
Three people were killed following an accident at Kegati area on the Keroka-Kisii road on Thursday night.
The accident involving saloon car and bus belonging to Ena Coach company.
Kegati Chief Alexander Nyakenyua said the bus was headed to Nairobi while the Probox vehicle was en route to Kisii from Kegati.
“The two cars collided at the entrance of Kegati Secondary School and three people were killed on the spot,” he told Citizen Digital.
The bodies have been taken to to the Kisii Referral Hospital mortuary.
The local administrator urged motorists plying the Keroka-Kisii Road to be more cautious to avoid such accidents.
Four years ago, there was a similar accident in Kegati.
Two brothers were killed after the car they were in collided with a bus on the Keroka-Kisii Road.
The driver of a bus belonging to Nyamira Express had attempted to overtake when he collided with the car the two brothers were in.
The Nairobi-bound bus landed on top of the bonnet of the private car.
