Senator Khalwale's famous fighting bull 'Inasio' attacks, kills handler in Kakamega

Detectives in Kakamega are currently investigating the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of a 47-year-old man at Senator Boni Khalwale's residence in Malinya, Ikolomani.

Sources report that the victim's body was discovered by investigators on Sunday within the confines of the senator's bull stable, exhibiting what appeared to be multiple injuries inflicted by bull horns.

The deceased, identified as Kizito Moi, was in the employ of Senator Khalwale, tasked with the care of the legislator's famed fighting bulls.

Senator Khalwale, speaking to Citizen.Digital about the incident, characterized it as accidental.

He suggested that the deceased may have been inebriated at the time of the incident, potentially triggering an aggressive response from one of the bulls, notably named 'Inasio.'

In keeping with the tradition, Senator Khalwale shared a video in which he said he speared the bull to death.

Videos showed the Senator armed with a spear, sorrounded by his kinsmen in the Sunday, January 28 incident.

"My champion bull, Inasio, has attacked and instantly killed  Kizito Moi Amukune. Moi has been the caretaker of my fighter bulls for over 20 years," Khalwale wrote on X

"In keeping with our culture, I have today speared bull Inasio to death."

The deceased's body has since been moved to the mortuary at Kakamega County General Hospital, pending an autopsy.
