5 die in grisly road accident along Kisii-Keroka road

5 people died on Saturday evening after a 14-seater matatu from Kisii town hit a trailer head-on.
According to eyewitnesses, the matatu was trying to avoid hitting a motorbike when it rammed into the trailer which was coming from Sotik.
Among the dead is a student of Maranda high who was travelling home.
Those injured are nursing injuries at different hospitals in the region including Keroka district hospital, St. Catherine Ichuni mission hospital and the Kisii teaching and referral hospital.
Confirming the incident, Masaba North Police Boss Robert Ndambiri urged drivers to be Keen while using the Kisii -Keroka-Sotik road that is prone to accidents due to its narrow nature.
