5 Suspects In Mandera Attack To Be Charged

Mandera County Police Commander Noah Mwivanda says the five elders from the area will be arraigned in Mandera Law Courts over the raid that also left a girl seriosuly wounded.

Mwivanda has however assured that calm has returned to the region with more police officers deployed to patrol Derkale area to avert further attacks.

Thursday’s dawn attack was the first after a peace deal was signed between warring Garre and Degodia clans overseen by the Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo and Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Ole Lenku three days ago.
