75-year-old woman murdered in Kirinyaga

The body of a 75-year-old woman was on Tuesday found dumped at a trading centre in Ndia, Kirinyaga County.

According to the deceased woman’s daughter, her mother left home at around 4pm on Monday but did not return home.

The daughter added that her mother had gone to a local bar at the nearby Kiandai Trading Centre, only for her to be found dead the following morning.

Ndia OCPD Sicily Gatiti  said police are investigating the cause of her death as blood stains were found at the gate of the bar where she was having beer.

Her body which bore injuries on the head and legs was taken to Kibugi Mortuary in  Kutus awaiting postmortem.

The family suspects that she was lured to the Kiandai shopping centre before she was killed.
