76-year-old man stabbed to death in Homa Bay

Police in Homa Bay have launched an investigation into the murder of a 76-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Lower Kodhoch, Rachuonyo East Sub County on Tuesday night.
The body of Lucas Ouko Opuge was found lying in a pool of blood on Thursday morning a few meters from his home by neighbours who alerted the area security officers.
It is reported that Mzee Opuge was last seen on Tuesday evening taking alcohol at a homestead within their village.
Confirming the incident, Lower Kodhoch Sub Location Assistant Chief Daniel Odanga said the deceased was stabbed in the chin using a knife by unknown suspects who escaped after the murder.
The body of the deceased was moved to Rachuonyo South Sub-County hospital mortuary as investigations into the incident continue.
