9 Killed In Mandera Clashes

Tension remains high in Mandera County after 8 more people were killed in fresh attacks on 3 villages in the northern part the county on Monday night.  Police say about 200 militiamen armed with heavy artillery attacked guba village in Malka Mari and burnt houses and shops before looting a dispensary. Women parliamentarians now want the military to be deployed to Mandera to end the conflict.
