Abel Mutua: How we made Ksh. 2.5 million from 'Click Click Bang' film

Speaking on Radio Citizen's Waks Tiki Taka show,  Abel said 2,500 people attended the film's screening held on Friday and Saturday and each person paid Ksh.1000 as entrance fee.

"For this weekend alone that figure is very accurate because everyone paid Ksh.1000 as entrance fee. So Ksh. 2.5 million already is in the bag," Abel noted.

Elated on the huge turnout from fans, the storyteller said that he was guaranteed that his trajectory to imprint the culture of "cinema-going" in the country is a feasible course.

Abel added that he, together with his team, have already started working on a new film whose premier shall be announced in due course. 

"We have been chasing the cinema-going culture, that's been my goal with Philo (co-director) and there are people turning out in large numbers," Abel noted.

"This weekend only we had four screenings and we had 2500 people. That has never happened in this country before. I know consistency is the only thing to get us to that level. Na ju ya hio story hatusimami, movie next ishaandikwa."

Abel promised much in store to quench the viewers' thirst as more screenings of the film shall be held in malls next weekend. This time, the film will also be screened in Mombasa, Eldoret and Kisumu. 

'Click Click Bang', is a re-enactment of one of the true events he has told on his YouTube channel where he does weekly narrations covering a myriad of topics.

The topics range from Kenya's significant events to true events in his personal life.
