“Wings To Fly” Sponsors 2000 Students

Two thousand students who sat their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exam last year received full secondary school scholarships in an emotional ceremony on Tuesday. The scholarships are funded by the Wings To Fly program run by the Equity and the Mastercard foundations. Tears flowed freely as recipients mainly drawn from poor backgrounds moved the audience that included President Uhuru Kenyatta with tales of personal struggles to obtain education prior to securing the scholarships.
