Politician and social media influencer Alinur Mohamed was on Thursday charged with publishing false information against State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed.

Alinur, who was arrested on Wednesday, pleaded not guilty to the charges before Magistrate Robinson Ondieki.

He was released on a cash bail of Ksh.30,000, with the case set for mentioning on August 14, 2024.

Also arraigned in the same court was Francis Gaitho who was accused charged with making false publications and cyber harassment.

Gaitho pleaded not guilty and was also freed on a Ksh.30,000 cash bail.
