Assistant Chief Arrested over Abduction, Rape of Minor

The Karundu Sub-location Assistant Chief Kimari Kiruga was arrested on Monday morning after the father of the minor reported the incident.

The father claims that he saw her daughter last on Wednesday last week being ferried on a motorbike together with the suspect and she has not returned home since.

Area MCA Githaiga Njoroge has also complained of an increase in such cases in the area, saying that the government must act quickly to apprehend suspects and charge them in courts of law.

According to Mukurwe-ini OCPD Grace Kimoning, police are still looking for the minor who is a form four student and who has been missing for the last five days to help them in their investigations.

Kimoning further adds that the suspect will remain in police custody until he is arraigned in court to answer to charges of abducting.
