According to a poster on its official website, the society claims that it will offer Ksh20, 000 to any new members to cater for any rising medical expenses, once they pay the annual membership fee of Ksh. 500.
The society is similarly ready to allocate Ksh20,000 to new followers to help cater for funeral costs in the event of death, on the condition that all registered members donate Ksh100 for funeral and medical expenses of affected members.
Members can similarly request for legal assistance in circumstances where they are discriminated against or if they need assistance in writing of a will should they prefer to be cremated after death.
“During weddings, birthdays, and baby showers, we will celebrate with members by way of giving gifts, and in some cases being part of the celebrations. We will give members a discount of 25 percent on books, t-shirts and other promotional materials,” the poster reads in part.
“Members will be given a priority for funding, sponsorship, and training that have been organized in partnership with other organizations. Members vote during an AGM or SGM.”
According to the society, new members should be above 18 years of age and they must identify as atheist, agnostic, freethinker, humanist, or skeptic.
