Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga has expressed enthusiasm ahead of his Azimio la Umoja forum at Kasarani.

At the forum, Odinga, is among other things, expected to make an announcement on whether or not he will vie for the presidency in next year's general elections.

Speaking to Citizen TV at his Karen home on Friday morning, Odinga likened the Azimio la Umoja event to a wedding stating that Kenyans should happily look forward to it, as it will address a number of issues currently plaguing the country.

“We are ecstatic to be joining Kenyans at the Azimio la Umoja forum in Kasarani today where Kenyans will make a decision on which direction to follow at the 2022 general elections.,” Odinga said.

“The year has been marked with a lot of challenges but as they say tribulations precede joy and the light is clearly visible from this end.”

Before leaving for Kasarani, Odinga similarly underscored that the forum was seeking to push the notion of unity to all Kenyans, including his competitors.

“We are talking to Kenyans and not just my followers. Even my competitors are Kenyans so everything that we will address will focus on unifying the nation as a whole,” he said.
