Azimio Sec-Gen Junet Mohamed retains Suna East MP seat

Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed
has secured a third term in the National Assembly after retaining his seat at the 2022 polls.
Junet was declared winner by the Independent
Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) after garnering 26,516 votes.
The Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K)
candidate Elias Okumu came second with a measly 4,978 votes, while Patrick
Odipo of the Movement for Democracy and Growth (MDG) came third with 4,808
votes.
Independent candidate Elijah Odhiambo received
2,266 votes to come fourth in the race, followed by Samuel Amima (1,280) and
Hassan Bashir (686).
