Baboon, showerhead, ATM card... Here are the most interesting presidential aspirants symbols

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has gazetted the names of candidates seeking to vie for various elective seats in the upcoming August elections.

Interesting to note from the 418-page gazette notice dated May 13 is the symbols some of the candidates submitted to the electoral commission for use in the August 9th elections.

Some of the symbols the candidates including Presidential aspirants, Governor, Senatorial and MCA apirants intend to use are interesting while others are outrightly hilarious.

These include images such as a baboon, shaving machine, headphones, wi-fi router, sufuria, bananas, avocado, tortoise, tick among many others. The high number of the aspirants vying as independent candidates could perhaps explain the pressure the aspirants had thus opting for peculiar choices.

The candidates were required to submit 5 symbols to the Registrar of Political Parties out of which one would be selected based on availability.
