The Ministry of Education has elevated Ossen Girls High School in Baringo County to National status following impressive performance in last year's Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination.

While making the announcement during the school's thanksgiving ceremony , the Director General for ministry of education Paul Kibet said the government awarded the girl school in Baringo North the status after the school progressively performed well in previous national exams.

The school scored a mean score of 7.6 up from 5.6 in 2020 .

Kibet lauded the school administration for an improvement of performance saying that the government will improve the infrastructure after the status.

Leaders present among them Baringo Governor Stanley Kiptis thanked the national government for elevating the school to a National school saying it will help improve education in the county.

Government introduced elevation of every two schools to National to boost cohesion among students .
