Baringo pastor accused of defiling, impregnating Form 2 girl arrested

The pastor is said to have also facilitated the procurement of an abortion procedure which led to the girl developing health complications.

According to Police, the pastor visited the family on December 24 to give them food donations. 

It is alleged that he then told them that he wanted to visit another family which he did not know the direction to the home. He then requested the grandmother to allow the girl show him the direction. It is alleged that he defiled her thereafter. 

The 15-year-old girl who was staying with her grandmother was reported missing on January 9, 2024. 

According to the area assistant chief, the matter was reported at Kabartonjo police station, and after investigations, the girl was found on January 30. 

Medical examination revealed that the girl was pregnant and upon interrogation, the girl said that the pastor was responsible. 

According to the grandmother, Pastor Evans Bundotich had a tendency of visiting them frequently saying that he was just preaching the gospel, not knowing what would soon befall her granddaughter. 

The family is seeking justice for their daughter. 

The Pastor is currently in custody at Kabarnet Police Station.
