Bodies of two people missing after flooding incident found

Bodies of two people who went missing on Monday after their vehicle was swept away by floods in Samburu East have been found.

The two were reportedly travelling from Meru to Wamba when their vehicle was swept away into River Lengusaka.

Samburu County Administration Police boss Karanja Muiruri said the bodies were recovered on Saturday morning.

Rangers discovered the two bodies at Lions Camp in Waso division, one of them mauled by wild animals.

“Officers who visited the scene found the female body intact but only one hand from the male body,” he said.

The driver of the vehicle however survived and was taken to Wamba Mission Hospital.

The deceased’s bodies were also taken to the same facility.
