Body of Class 7 pupil found hanging from tree at boyfriend’s home in Migori

Police are investigating the death of a Class 7 pupil in Nyatike, Migori that occurred inside the compound of an alleged boyfriend.

The body of the pupil identified as 15-year-old Noli Awino Odhiambo was discovered hanging from a tree a few metres from the house on Tuesday.

Nyatike sub county police commander Stala Too said passersby spotted the body at around 1 pm and reported the matter to the local administration.

The student from Jangoye Primary School had earlier left her home but not said where she was going.

The sub county police boss said the body has been moved to Sori Lakeside Hospital mortuary pending police investigations.

Mrs.Too said they suspect she committed suicide but the autopsy report will conclusively determine cause of death.
