Body of Kenyan woman killed in Toronto arrives today

A family in Ongata Rongai is mourning the death of their daughter who they claim died under mysterious circumstances in Toronto, Canada on January 8, 2019.

Lorraine Kerubo Ogoti, 30, moved to Toronto Canada three years ago to pursue further studies.

It is alleged that she was stabbed to death in a love triangle.

After travelling to Toronto last week, Lorainne’s parents claim their child was stabbed by a man said to be her lover in what the Canadian police officers described as a murder suicide.

“As parents we are very aggrieved and very angry because someone who we did not even know just decided to end her life just like that,” said Lorraine’s mother.

The suspect who also died at the scene, was found on the ground floor outside the apartment with serious injuries.

The police have identified the man as Mawlid Hassan.

Lorraine’s body will be received on Thursday at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi.

A requiem service is to be held the next day at Laisser Hill SDA church in Ongata Rongai followed by the burial ceremony.

The family insists that Lorraine’s death must be investigated thoroughly to establish whether indeed she died in a love triangle as claimed.

Lorraine leaves behind a 4-year-old son.
