Bungoma County and USAID sign MoU on Healthcare, Agriculture

Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati signed the memorandum on behalf of Bungoma County while USAID was represented by Mission Director Mark Meassick. 

Speaking shortly after exchanging the signed MoUs on Tuesday, Meassick said the new philosophy seeks to strengthen transformational partnership for community-led development. 

On his part, Governor Wangamati lauded the new approach of letting people define their problems and how they want them solved as critical to transforming society. 

He further thanked USAID for its President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) funding, saying millions of Kenyans and residents of Bungoma are accessing the life-saving HIV/Aids drugs and therapy through it.  

The two parties constituted technical teams in consultation with residents and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).
