Citizen TV, NTV Journalists Assaulted by GSU Officers in Tana River

The journalists are said to have sustained fractures during the attack by the GSU officers.

The journalists were following a story where over 400 heads of cattle belonging to Orma pastoralists were said to have been detained at the ADC farm for allegedly trespassing.

The GSU officers are said to have accosted the journalists and beat them up despite their attempts to identify themselves as journalists.

The officers also damaged the vehicle that was being used by the journalists.

It took several hours before the injured journalists were transferred to a hospital for medication.
