Citizen TV has been ranked the 4th Most Distinctive, Reliable, and Quality Brand in Kenya in the 2024 Consumer Survey by Superbrands East Africa, a global authority in branding, operating in over 90 countries.

Citizen TV station, a product of Royal Media Services, has been recognised as Superbrand alongside other key global media brands like Financial Times and CNN.

Meanwhile, Radio Citizen ranked at number 7, making the two products (Citizen TV and Radio Citizen) the only TV and radio stations in the Top 10 in the Kenyan rankings.

Jaffer said the research carried out by Kantar showed that millions of Kenyans trusted Citizen TV.

“In this survey, for the last three rounds or four rounds, Citizen TV and Citizen Radio appeared in the Top 10 out of over a thousand brands that we started with initially. Citizen TV brand is very strong, just like CNN which is another superbrand,” said Jaffer.

“Royal Media Services brands have been market leaders over the past 20 years or so, and so it is a great honour to be recognised as a superbrand for Citizen television, one of our leading brands.

"It is a testament to our commitment to distinguished content across board, and the quality of what we offer across our news and information in a bid to inform and entertain our audiences,” noted Royal Media Services Marketing & Digital Transformation Director Carol Wachira.
