CORD Declines Proposal To Cancel Saba Saba Rally

CORD principals have declined a proposal by the Interparty Parliamentary Caucus to cancel the Saba Saba rally to give the committee an opportunity to mediate on the issues that CORD has raised with the government. CORD leader Raila Odinga insists that without dialogue the rallies will go on. The committee is now looking to meet with President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Deputy President on the same. Meanwhile pressure for cord to call off the rallies continues to mount with the Kenya Private Sector Association now warning that the tension in the country could have detrimental effect on the country’s economy.
