County Govts To Rank KCPE Results

Council of Governors Chair Isaac Ruto and Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony say that Education CS Jacob Kaimenyi's diversion from the norm through the refusal to rank last year's KCPE candidates had left county governments groping in the dark on which schools to focus on in a bid to improve the education standards.

Rutto says failure to rank schools would create room for sly parents and crooked school principals to "quietly sneak" immediate former KCPE candidates to form one in highly rated secondary schools in place of bright pupils from disfranchised backgrounds.

“90Million shillings has been set for bright but needy students who will be admitted to notable schools across the country as well as other needy children in tertiary colleges and universities,” says Chepkwony.
