Court nullifies Lagdera MP Abdikadir Mohamed's election win

The High Court has invalidated
the August 2022 election victory of Lagdera MP Abdikadir Hussein Mohamed.
Mohamed, who contested for the position under an ODM party ticket, is now the first MP to lose his seat following the said polls.
He was declared the winner after garnering 5,939 votes in the August elections ahead of his closest rival Abdiqani Zeitun who managed 4,863 votes.
Mohamed has vowed to move to petition the court's ruling.
