The four church members believed to be the church's top leadership were set free following an application filed by their lawyer, Benard Achola at the Migori High Court.
Achola said he is happy with the ruling of the court that has set aside the ruling made by the lower court on May 23, 2025, that directed that the four be detained for an additional 21 days.
The church lawyer said the four people have been released on free bond and surety.
Achola said the four church members will adhere to the court's directives, which include staying away from the church due to ongoing police investigations.
Several weeks ago, 49 members of this controversial church were also released by the court sitting in Rongo in an ongoing probe.
The church was closed by the government after two people who had gone for prayers in the church died, and one of them was buried within the church compound in Rongo Sub County.
