The move establishes CPF Capital & Advisory, Rukisha Solutions, and CPF Financial Services in Rwanda, expanding the Group’s presence in capital markets, structured finance, and technology-enabled financial services.
The inauguration brought together government officials, regulators, diplomats, institutional investors, and private sector leaders, highlighting the significance of CPF’s entry into the Rwandan financial ecosystem.
Founded as a pension fund more than 95 years ago, CPF Group has evolved into a diversified regional financial institution, offering pension administration, fund management, capital advisory, and structured finance services across East Africa. The Rwanda office will enable cross-border transaction execution, advisory services, alternative investment structuring, and capital mobilisation.
Dr Hosea Kili, Group Managing Director and CEO, said the expansion reflects a deliberate regional strategy:
"Rwanda has developed one of Africa’s most stable financial ecosystems. Our role is to support capital mobilisation, structure transactions, and provide advisory services aligned with national development priorities."
Maurice Nduranu, CPF Group Chairperson, emphasised governance and long-term commitment:
"This expansion is not just transactional. It is about building resilient financial infrastructure and supporting sustainable economic growth in Rwanda and the region."
Janet Mwawasi, Kenya’s High Commissioner to Rwanda, highlighted the diplomatic and economic dimension:
"CPF’s establishment here strengthens economic ties between Kenya and Rwanda and shows confidence in Rwanda’s regulatory framework. It reflects the shared goal of deepening regional capital markets integration."
CPF Capital & Advisory Rwanda will focus on capital markets advisory, infrastructure and structured finance, alternative investments, and cross-border capital mobilisation. Rukisha Solutions Rwanda will operate as a technology-driven micro-lending and payments platform aimed at improving financial inclusion within Rwanda’s regulated financial sector.
The Group enters Rwanda with a focus on governance, execution capability, and structured capital solutions to support economic growth and financial innovation.
