David Ndii, four others file case challenging Uhuru and Raila’s BBI agenda
Economist David Ndii and four others have now filed a case in a bid to scuttle the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) agenda by President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Ndii, Jerotich Seii, James Ngondi, Wanjiku Gikonyo and Ikal Angelei, in a petition filed through lawyer Nelson Havi, are challenging the push to have the constitution amended.
The four want the case to be certified as urgent and heard by an uneven number of judges not less than three appointed by Chief Justice David Maraga.
Those named as respondents in the case include the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, his Senate counterpart Ken Lusaka, and Attorney General Paul Kihara.
