Dedan Kimathi’s Grandson Chains Himself To Monument

A grandson to the Mau Mau freedom fighter, the late Dedan Kimathi chained himself to the late freedom fighter’s monument on Nairobi’s Kimathi Street for the better part of Monday morning. The man, who only came down after grandmother and wife to the war veteran, Mukami Kimathi arrived was protesting the neglect he claims the family continues to face from the government despite their grandfathers efforts in the fight for independence.
