DJ jailed for urinating on Cancer patient

A 40-year-old Welsh wedding DJ has been slapped with a 14-week imprisonment for urinating on a Cancer patient.

DJ Leigh Brookfield was arraigned at the Llanelli Magistrates Court on Thursday where he pleaded guilty to common assault after he filmed himself urinating on Peter Barton, a Cancer patient, in a public toilet before posting it on social media.

The incident occurred on Boxing Day at the Llanelli Tennis and Squash Club in Carmarthenshire, southwestern Wales.

Barton had been telling Brookfield that he was undergoing treatment for his prostate cancer, but the DJ drunkenly mocked him.

The judge said his response to urinate over the back of the man’s clothing instead of offering sympathy was an assault of a vulnerable victim.

According to Sky News, the victim was unaware of what happened until he saw the video of the incident online.

The BBC stated that the DJ has since been banned from the club for life, and representatives of the establishment visited Barton to say that they were devastated that their name was associated with the situation.
