Speaking during the official opening of the Kericho Cathedral in Kericho town, Njue said gay unions have no place in this country and they will fight hard to see into it that the Gay laws were not legalized.
The Cardinal said the laws were not in good taste with the Kenyan system, further warning leaders against being used by Western forces to compromise on the integrity and morals of the Kenyan people in exchange for gifts.
At the same time, Njue asked the President to tighten the noose on the fight against corruption, which has become a cancer in the country.
Njue was accompanied by Mombasa Diocese Arch Bishop Martin Kivuva and Kenya Episcopal Conference Chairman Bishop Philip Anyolo among other Bishops, Fathers and Priests from various Dioceses from the country.
On his part, Bishop Kivuva dismissed calls to wipe out the teaching of Religious studies in Schools, saying the subject was vital in instilling moral values in students.
