The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has dismissed fears of a clash with Jubilee Party on Sunday September 18th over the venue of their rally in Mathare Constituency in Nairobi.

Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and the convener of the meeting Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho say that ODM has secured the Masinde Muliro grounds in Huruma where the party will hold a political rally.

Speaking at Orange House Saturday morning, Joho said the ODM rally is aimed at popularising its 2017 presidential candidate Raila Odinga in a series of road shows starting from Kawangware estate.

On Friday, Mathare MP Steven Kariuki, who recently defected from ODM to Jubilee, said he would use the Masinde Muliro grounds in Huruma to popularise the new Jubilee Party, after inspecting development projects in his constituency.

ODM has planned a series of rallies in Nairobi that will climax in Mathare Constituency while their Jubilee counterparts.
