Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is urging the youth in Africa and Arab countries to be at the forefront in addressing emerging global challenges such as bad governance and economic prosperity.

Speaking in Kampala, Uganda, Professor Kindiki, while addressing the Afro-Arab Youth Congress, acknowledged the youth’s crucial role in digital transformation, climate action, governance, sustainable agriculture and renewable energy, which he says are fundamental in enhancing entrepreneurship in both Africa and Asia.

“This is your moment. Be bold in your imagination, be fearless in your action, and be united in your purpose. The world is watching Africa and the Arab world. The future of our regions depends not on what is done for the youth, but on what is done by the youth,” he said.

During his two-day trip to Uganda, Kindiki addressed the Afro-Arab Youth Congress in Kampala, urging them to drive the transformation of Africa and the Middle East through innovation, climate action, music, film and art.

He also rallied them to push for peace, security, sustainability and inter-generational prosperity.
